Mark Rosenblum, M.A. received his doctoral training occurred at Argosy University/Atlanta where he completed a concentration in clinical neuropsychology. The academic training was augmented by two years of clinical training at Shepherd Center's Acquired Brain Injury program and at their outpatient affiliate, Shepherd Pathways. Shepherd Center, a preeminent hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is one of the most highly rated rehabilitation hospitals in the United States. In these settings, he provided neuropsychological evaluations to patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions in both the acute and later phases of their recovery. During his graduate training, he has been a student affiliate of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and has volunteered at their national yearly conference. Mark has a longstanding history of providing therapeutic support that predated his graduate training. He has worked in multiple psychiatric hospitals, provided in-home services, and volunteered at a crisis hotline. During his graduate clinical training, he continued in this type of work Clayton County Community Mental Health Center outside of Atlanta, Georgia. In this setting, he received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as he provided individual and marital therapy for clients from diverse backgrounds. In addition to his trainings at Shepherd Center/Shepherd Pathways and Clayton County Community Mental Health Center, he received extensive training during a yearlong internship at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. In this setting, he provided neuropsychological evaluations for patients with various psychiatric conditions as well as provided individual and group psychotherapy. Within this setting, he also received a yearlong training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He is currently a Psychology Fellow/Psychology Assistant at Partners in Psychiatry & Psychology and under the direct supervision of David Alter, Ph. D., A.B.P.P., while he completes his licensure requirements. He anticipates licensure as a psychologist in summer 2005. In this role, he has provided neuropsychological services for Partners in Psychiatry & Psychology under Dr. Alter's direction/supervision. His therapeutic training with Dr. Alter has emphasized areas of general psychotherapy and medical psychotherapy Health Psychology, such as pain management and neuropsychological evaluation services. He has also been actively involved with Neuropsychology Case Conferences through the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. He works full time at Partners in Psychiatry & Psychology and is available to work with adult individuals and couples, as well as provide neuropsychological evaluation services and other assessment services, as needed. |
